In the next few minutes, my goggles were half-dead, I already needed an antidote, and I was running from an enemy with low health. There were times when I got myself free of psychosis and full of health with my newly charged night-vision goggles. While you can certainly play Challenges that are shorter, having such a long Trial can be frustrating if you’re close to the finish line and end up all dying. In my very first game, I played with some fellow writers, and it took an hour to do a Trial. But some players may find the Trials difficult, due to their length and possible frustrations. I’m very glad there aren’t any pay-to-win tactics or loot boxes, it wouldn’t suit this game at all. That’s not to say that I would rather this game have microtransactions and be free-to-play. Taking lockpicks to open up the locked medical supplies is pretty beneficial here, allowing you to take damage while disarming without worry. When disarming the battery, you can be damaged, but there's a cooldown between grabs from enemies, giving you plenty of time to disarm and then run. You won't be hiding behind the stands in between chases or throwing bottles to distract enemies as much as in Punish The Miscreants, and instead, you can rush a lot of these sections. Once you're in the Fun Fair and Carnival areas, the map is more open, and the wires travel even further.
